{"id":3283,"date":"2023-06-26T13:26:04","date_gmt":"2023-06-26T13:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musec.ch\/comitato-scientifico\/"},"modified":"2025-07-04T08:56:01","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T08:56:01","slug":"advisory-board","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.musec.ch\/en\/advisory-board\/","title":{"rendered":"Advisory Board"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column]<div class=\"clearboth\"><\/div><style>#thegem-divider-69dff748dc878 {margin-top: 20px !important;}<\/style><div id=\"thegem-divider-69dff748dc878\" class=\"gem-divider  \" style=\"\" ><\/div>[vc_column_text]The Advisory Board (AB) has an advisory and guiding function on the research activities of the Museo delle Culture (MUSEC), ensuring its methodological approach and outcomes and supporting its dissemination at an international level.<\/p>\n<p>The AB also<\/p>\n<ul type=\"-\">\n<li>discusses, guarantees and supports the multi-year work plans prepared under the responsibility of the Museum&#8217;s Management;<\/li>\n<li>identifies and promotes activities aimed at the support and development of the Museum, in all the venues it deems appropriate;<\/li>\n<li>participates in the eventual evaluation of works judged suitable for publication in the Museum&#8217;s series, in print and on-line;<\/li>\n<li>may be involved by the Museum&#8217;s Management, in whole or in part, in the composition of ad hoc scientific commissions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The AB consists of a maximum of nine members who elect the chairman from among their number by a simple majority.<br \/>\nThe AB normally meets twice a year in Lugano and is composed of recognised experts in the cultural sciences and in the arts.<br \/>\nThe term of office of members of the AB is five years and can be renewed from year to year.<br \/>\nThe AB unanimously co-opts new members to replace resigning or deceased AB members.
