Are you between 18 and 30 years old, and is photography your language of expression? In 2027, Unpublished Photo returns with a new edition of the international competition dedicated to emerging talents in contemporary photography.

Participation is free, and there are no thematic restrictions: each applicant is free to develop their own visual research and tell stories about the world through a personal and original perspective.

To enter the competition, applicants must submit an unpublished photographic project consisting of 10 images, using an online application form that will be available soon. The challenge is not simply to select ten successful photographs, but to create a coherent visual narrative in which the images connect through style, technique and artistic vision.

The submitted project must not have previously been published in a catalogue or exhibited in galleries or other exhibition spaces.

The winning projects will receive a cash prize and be published in the Unpublished Photo 2027 catalogue. The works will also be exhibited at Villa Malpensata, home of MUSEC in Lugano, in autumn 2027.

Start preparing your photographic project! Discover the winning projects from previous editions of Unpublished Photo and find inspiration in the work and creative approaches of young photographers who have taken part before you.

The competition guidelines will be published soon. Follow the MUSEC website and social media channels (IG and FB @museclugano) for the opening date of submissions and further information on how to participate.
