ARTE WALSER. La tradizione di Bosco Gurin opens to the public on Thursday 6 November 2025. The exhibition focuses on one of the most fascinating and unique aspects of the Swiss cultural landscape: Bosco Gurin, the highest village in the canton of Ticino (1,506 m) and the only Walser enclave in the region. This is an area where a traditional art form has developed that combines technique, beauty and symbolism. It is a form of creativity that has survived the centuries while maintaining a strong link with the identity of the place.

ARTE WALSER is the result of many years of research conducted by MUSEC in close collaboration with the Municipality and the Walsherhaus Gurin Museum in Bosco Gurin, and with the involvement of the entire small Walser community. The exhibition, held in the Spazio Cielo of Villa Malpensata, is curated by Francesca Pedrocchi, collaborator at the Walserhaus Gurin Museum in Bosco Gurin, and Nora Segreto, researcher at MUSEC.
